I quite like the idea of a Zen garden in a longkang (canal).
It's unexpected, it's weird and it just suddenly appeared one day. The day I discovered it was on a clear blue sky day, and a few migratory birds were standing around awkwardly like a 9pm club that hasn't quite filled up yet.
So you can imagine my pretentious self had to stop my bike just to take a photo of it. Part of me feared that it'd be gone the next time I cycle past and that the accidental Zen was just, accidental.
